1 AWARENESS

AWARENESS

It is said that the root of all evil is Money. It is true and we have seen it so many times. People sleeps with their bosses, some goes to the length of getting sugar daddies while others are betray their friends and their loved ones. I then ask, is money the problem or the people?

A man went to a bar from work and really drank like it is his last day on earth. He got home very late and his wife was already asleep. She got woken up by the loud noise of things falling and the husband bashing things. That night he went looking for his food. He never eats if he gets home that late but the wife always leave a plate for him. He found the food cold as it has been in the oven for hours. When the wife came to have a look the husband just lost it without saying a word he beat up his wife.
There was a function at work and as it is a norm alcohol was free. Most of the guys there had one too many. When people started leaving that one manager started making his silly jokes offending people and revealing information about coworkers that was told him in secrete and in confidence.

As it is a norm in Johannesburg that taxi drivers does not have any regards for the law, one day a man was driving in the busy streets of Johannesburg and a taxi driver cut him off and then suddenly stopped. The man was so furious and started swearing and hooting. The poor man got so worked up such that his blood pressure was too high.  This is the story of many South Africans
Another man driving on the freeway got cut off by a slow moving car on a slow lane and he was so furious though the man apologized it did not help the situation. The slow moving car on a slow lane continued and all of a sudden he got cut off and the same car suddenly stopped. As this happened he realized it was the same car that he cut off and apologized for the incident and that made him furious. Both drivers are now fuming with rage and they chased each other while swearing at each other. They eventually parked on the side of the high way and a physical fight broke out.

There are a lot of things that can be said about anger and rage and the strange thing about it is that it takes a second to one to be very angry or to reach a point of rage. Here is a list of things that many can relate to:
1.       Someone spills a drink and never apologies.
2.       Being cut off in a slow moving traffic.
3.       People who do not indicate.
4.       Someone breathing down your neck in a queue.
5.       Noisy neighbors
6.       Loud children at a restaurant
7.       Rude people
8.       Bad attitude
9.       Certain words and gestures that people use (like: Nigger, blacks, you people, vulgar, etc)
10.   Racial comments
11.   Religion
12.   Cheating spouse
13.   Lies

Everyone has their own tipping point and it can vary from person to person. I personally made a vow that I will never fight over money nor material possession. I lost a lot of money in business deals that never worked and some left me in debt. This was mainly because people thought they knew more than me and in most cases the loss could have been avoided should the people listened to me. My tipping point is being lied to by someone close to me. I can handle a lot of things but despises liars.
